The R1 laid down the foundations of a style that marked Vita Audio as a unique and desirable brand. The R2 takes this mantle forward again with a DAB/FM stereo radio that exudes character and quality.

Like the R1 the R2´s cabinet is machined and hand-crafted from compressed wood fibre (a material that is renowned for its excellent acoustic properties) and finished in warm and tactile rich walnut veneer or ivory high gloss lacquer.
The R2´s eye-catching design undoubtedly adds grace to any living environment but on sound terms it also turns in a beautiful performance.

Twin high-fidelity custom made drive units allied to class leading electronics with 3D sound processing and variable EQ provides a scale and quality of sound that belies its compact dimensions.

DAB and FM performance is exceptional, but the R2 has values and uses far above that of a normal radio. On the front panel we have sited a headphone socket and a line input so an MP3 player or any other audio device can be conveniently connected.

On the rear panel we´ve provided two pairs of high quality gold plated phono sockets. The first pair provides outputs for recording and the second pair provides an additional input for the permanent connection of a CD player or more likely an MP3 player or iPod dock. This connectivity makes the R2 highly adaptable and offers the ability to make R2 into a complete compact music system.

It also uses a modern and compact switch mode power supply which works with AC voltages ranging from 100-240v making it truly universal.
