Kef Q200C European Walnut

When watching movies or playing music, the most important part of your listening experience is the way in which the narrative part is reproduced. So bearing this in mind, Kef have produced a new concept Q series centre speaker, the Q200c.

The Kef Q200c is the smaller of the two Q range centre speakers available being comprised of three 130mm mid range drivers which are made from formed aluminium and have been specially designed so that at the lower frequencies the drive unit delivers a noticeably faster, cleaner response.

The aluminium chassis prevents unwanted resonance and a large 50mm voice coil ensures impressive power handling. This technology has come from the reference level speakers but has now been applied to the more affordable Q series range and the results are very clear to hear.

One of the drivers incorporates an all newly developed 25mm vented dome tweeter made from aluminium. New features of the Q series tweeter includes efficiency and dispersion of the tweeter at the very highest frequencies and the motor system of the tweeter has been computer designed and now has vented technology taken from the reference series to extend the high frequency response, enhancing your listening pleasure.

Attention to detail is noticeable as usual with Kef and with Gold Plated bi-wire terminals you will get the clearest possible signal transmission which is very important.

The Kef Q200c is perfectly acoustically matched to the matched to the bookshelf and smaller floor standing speakers in the range giving you a realistic and highly natural sound. So if you already have these you won’t have to worry about matching or if you are looking to buy the centre and then match to the rest of the range you can do this as well.

The Kef Q200c is surprisingly affordable for the sound quality that is produced from these speaker as this is very easy on the pocket but does sound much more expensive than the price tag that goes with it.
