The new TX-L47E5B continues the Panasonic formula of great value, high picture quality LED, Full High Definition LCD models, even at the entry level in the flat panel TV range when that emphasis on image clarity seems appreciably greater than alternative models at similar prices, elsewhere in the market and due to the nature of their panels’ backlights’ wide apertures, you can clearly see the TV screen with almost no loss of contrast at any angle up to nearly 180 degrees.

The quality of picture is paramount at Panasonic and the TX-L47E5, though the first rung of their Smart VIERA, Full HD, LED TV ladder, is uncompromised thanks to a Brilliant Contrast default screen setting, backing up a Full HD 1920 x 1080P resolution panel (for the ultimate in Blu-ray movie theatre,) not to mention 150 Hertz scanning across the HD panel to guarantee accurate motion processing with minimal blur whilst via Smart VIERA Engine Pro, a vivid colour creator tracks changes in colours’ bright, contrast, sharpness and transitional levels to ensure the finest possible handling of the most subtle colour hue differences.

There is also a screen filter (Clear Panel) built in to the TXL47E5B which by addressing the threat to on screen black levels by diffusing ambient light reflections, makes sure picture quality is further ed even more whilst a 24p (frames a sec) feature means DVD and Blu-ray films and movies will appear more similar to the original, cinema presentation.

Two prominent Achilles heels of LCD and LED TV design arise from (a) the limitation suffered when moving ‘off axis’ or away from a central viewing location where here, the HD TXL47E5 Panasonic LED TV ensures you can sit pretty much anywhere in the room, at various, disparate angles, as the TV’s Alpha panel (thanks to a technique called ‘in plane switching’) increases the levels of contrast between the lightest and darkest scene changes and (b) the often poor grade sound resulting from such thin TV panels which on this 47 inch Smart VIERA set, is countered by a V-audio surround processor which simulates a more theatrical concert hall setting, as well as making a path for DTS and Dolby Digital soundtracks with a suitable output.

It goes without saying that this superb value LED HDTV incorporates a tuner with which to enjoy completely free of charge high definition TV programmes (Freeview HD) but the all new 47 inch E5B LED set is the starting point to the Panasonic VIERA Connect menu suite of integrated ‘apps’ (such as Skype,* Twitter, Face Book and You Tube) for easy, cheap and convenient access to internet based communications, social media and on demand video, plus the VIERA Remote App Support that will transform your smart device (i-Phone, i-Pad) into a TV remote.

By adding a suitable wireless connector (Model no TY-WL20E) to the TX-L47E5B, the DNLA networking capability of the TV set can be realised, allowing all such (WiFi) devices (many Panasonic Blu-ray products, for instance) to hook up without cables, directly onto the TV’s LED backlit screen by wirelessly streaming audiovisual content; in this way the TX-L47E5 becomes a video hub at the heart of a home network.
Four HDMIs, two 2 USBs plus an SD input ensure comprehensive connection options whilst an eco navigator ensures this particular 47 inch LED TV is suitably light on the electrical juice.

The Panasonic TX-L47E5B; an exceptional, full high definition, smart LED TV so now, for the lowest price in the market, your cheapest deal is just a click away. (*Requires optional TY-CC20W camera.)
